McLean County man arrested for drugs, weapon

LEROY – An Ellsworth man was arrested Thursday for possession of methamphetamine and a weapon.

Harold Dowling was taken into custody by LeRoy Police and the McLean County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said during the arrest officers seized more than 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a rifle, and nearly $10,000 cash.

Dowling faces charges for possession of methamphetamine, manufacture/delivery of methamphetamine, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is being held in the McLean County jail.
