Apartment targeted in north Normal shooting

NORMAL – Normal Police said someone outside fired several gunshots into an apartment early Thursday morning, but the two people inside were not hurt.

Police were called to the two-story building at 1005 Charlotte Drive, just off Shelbourne Drive, in North Normal. Officers said they found several bullet holes in the walls of a second floor apartment when they arrived about 12:30 a.m.

There have been no arrests. Anyone with information is asked to call Normal Police at 309-454-9535 or McLean County Crime Stoppers at 309-828-1111.
