Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano, headquartered in Bloomington, was named one of TripAdvisor’s best restaurant chains in the country for 2019.

In the Small Chain Restaurant category, which includes places with between 10-50 locations nation-wide, Biaggi’s took 9th place overall.

TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website, bases its rankings on an algorithm that takes into account quality, quantity, and recency of reviews for all of a chain’s locations.

Biaggi’s, which has numerous accolades to its name already, was started by Todd Hovenden and opened its first location on Bloomington’s east side in 1999. It has since expanded to over 19 locations in nine states.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

African-Americans have been killed too many times in the past before George Floyd, but the response to this man’s death is international and all-encompassing. I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
