Lions, Wildcats featured in Week 5 high school football

A pair of 3-1 teams near the top of the Big Twelve Conference hook up in the featured game of the WJBC Friday Night High School Football Extravaganza.

The Week 5 feature pits the Peoria Lions at Normal West for the Wildcats’ Homecoming. The Lions have won their games by margins of 34, 37 and 76 points, while the Wildcats handed Bloomington its first loss of the season last week.

The Extravaganza will also have reports from Monticello at Central Catholic, Springfield Lanphier at U-High, Normal Community at Peoria Manual and Tri-Valley at LeRoy. The Extravaganza begins on AM 1230 WJBC and WJBC.com at 6:10 with pre-game, kickoffs at 7:00, reports every quarter hour and post-game until 11:00.
