Dana Lee Houchins, 47, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:25 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her home.

Her memorial visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.  The service and interment will be private for her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Chestnut Health Systems, Bloomington, Illinois.

Dana was born August 20, 1969 in Bloomington, the daughter of Donald E. and Dorothy A. Stevens Colclasure, Sr.. She married Timothy E. Houchins on August 14, 2014 in Bloomington.  He survives.

She is also survived by two children, Cole Mueller of St. Louis, MO and Nate Mueller of Bloomington; a step-son, Zach Houchins of Bloomington; her mother, Dorothy (William “Max”) Cloud of Jupiter, FL; her father, Don (Donna) Colclasure, Sr, of Bradenton, FL; two brothers, Don (Sue) Colclasure, Jr. of Bloomington and Doug (Lori) Colclasure of Aurora; three nieces and one nephew.

Dana graduated from Lexington High School, attended Parkland Community College, Southern Illinois University.  She went to Radiologic Technical School at BroMenn Medical Center and worked as a Radiologic Technician for over five years.  She worked at State Farm Insurance Co’s for 15 years and finished in Human Resources.  Most recently she had been employed by Chestnut Health Systems in Bloomington.

Dana loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and hiking in her younger years.  She had a deep love for animals, especially cats.  Dana had a great sense of humor and had a way of nicknaming everything in her life.
