Bloomington nurse killed in LaSalle County crash

STREATOR – A Bloomington nurse was killed a two-vehicle crash in LaSalle County on Monday night.

According to MyWebTimes.com, Alexandria “Ali” M. Stevenson, 23 of Ottawa, died in the crash north of Streator. Police say a car driven by Miguel A. Alvarado, 39, of Streator, was traveling east on North 18th Road when it was hit by a northbound car driven by Stevenson along Illinois Route 23 at about 10 p.m.

The LaSalle County Coroner’s Office pronounced Stevenson dead at the scene. Alvarado was listed in fair condition at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Stevenson worked at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, according to the report. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2015 where she played on the golf team.
