Bloomington Police seek suspect in grocery store robbery

BLOOMINGTON – Police say a grocery store was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.

Police say a man entered West Market Groceries at 301 W. Market St. at 9:52 p.m, displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot headed west on Market Street.

Police report no one was injured and no shots were fired.

According to police, the suspect was described as a young white man with a thin build, wearing a black bandanna or handkerchief across his face, a black, hooded sweatshirt and a pink undershirt.
