4th Annual Breast in Show Bra Auction

Date: October 2nd – October 20th
Where: On Facebook HERE

Full details:
Ft. Jesse Imaging and Gale Keeran Center for Women’s Breast in Show Bra Auction is back!  This year, 32 beautifully decorated bras hang in the women’s waiting room, where women wait daily to get their breast imaging.  All bras were decorated by local businesses or physician’s offices.  They will be auctioned off October 2nd -October 20th on Facebook. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Pink Partners of the Community Cancer Center, allowing more women in McLean County to get their annual screening mammogram and receive education on breast health.

In 2016, Gale Keeran Center for Women was able to raise over $1200 for Pink Partners.  In turn, the money was used to perform 28 mammograms on uninsured women in McLean County.  Not only is this a creative way to raise money for a wonderful cause, but also a way to start the conversation about breast health.

Fort Jesse Imaging & Gale Keeran Center for Women is a clean and comfortable, free standing, outpatient imaging center offering: PET/CT, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, ABUS, and Bone Density at a more affordable cost to patients.

Pritzker, recall another Illinois Governor who protested the incursion of armed federal personnel into the city.   Those federal troops, rather than calming, escalated the situation, leading to deaths and violence. Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

In these troubled times, to my fellow white Americans

By Mike Matejka Our nation is at a unique watershed in human relations. African-Americans have been killed too many times in the past before George Floyd, but the response to this man’s death is international and all-encompassing. I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
