LEXINGTON – An Illinois Lottery ticket sold in Lexington has earned a $250,000 prize for a local woman.
Cheryl Wells of Lexington purchased the $10 ticket for the “$250,000 Crosswords” game at the store where she is a manager, Lexington Finer Foods, while on break. She recently redeemed the ticket at the lottery headquarters in Springfield.
Wells said she plans to pay bills and invest in retirement.
Lexington Finer Foods receives a one-percent bonus of $2,500.
