Annual Vermilion River cleanup Saturday

PONTIAC – Good weather and river conditions are forecast for Saturday’s annual cleanup day on the Vermilion River at Pontiac.

Carolyn Gerwin with the Livingston County Environmental Association said volunteers will be supplied with gloves, a hat and lunch after a day of cleaning debris from the river.

The association is also looking for drivers, volunteers for some land-based cleanup and canoes. Volunteers are asked to meet at the play park along the river in Pontiac at 8 a.m. Saturday.
