PEKIN – Tazewell County investigators say they can’t yet positively identify the skeletal remains found yesterday near Pekin, but say a forensic pathologist believes the remains are consistent with those of a 13-year-old boy.
Tazewell County Chief Deputy Jeff Lower says DNA testing will be required to positively identify the remains, which were found Monday in a wooded area south of Pekin.
Thirteen-year-old Robert Bee Junior was reported missing after leaving his Pekin home in November 2016.
