Information sought on Saybrook water plant break-in

SAYBROOK – The McLean County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the person or persons who broke into the Saybrook water plant and shut off water to the entire village.

The department’s Facebook page reports the break-in and shut-off occurred on May 14. A security video shows someone at the water plant at about the time the water was shut off.

The video is on the McLean County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page as well as below. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Bryan Hanner at 309-434-6185.
