B-N first-quarter home sales on rise

BLOOMINGTON – Home sales are picking up in the Bloomington-Normal area.

Latest figures from the Bloomington-Normal Association of Realtors shows 210 single-family homes changed hands in March, up from 141 in February. Total home sales have crossed above 500, up 27 from the first three months of 2016.

The sales total more than $86 million for the first quarter, up over 11 percent from last year.

The average home sale price so far this year in Bloomington-Normal is $170,475.
