BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington alderman will hold a special work session Monday night to discuss lowering the speed limit on a part of Fox Creek Road.
Public Works Director Jim Karch said residents in the area have requested the speed limit be lowered from the current limit of 40 miles per hour.
“Just from Stone Hedges Court to Oakland Avenue,” said Karch. “So, not along the entire Fox Creek, but along the area west of Oakland past the golf course.”
Karch said staff is proposing lowering the limit to 35 miles per hour. The city council will not be voting on any changes Monday.
The council on Monday will also be a public hearing on the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
