NORMAL – The Midwest Food Bank will be distributing water to residents of Normal who are affected by the town wide boil order which was put in place due to a water main break.
Operations Director Mike Hoffman said residents will be able to receive a case of bottled water Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
“We help people all over the country when there’s disasters. This is a disaster in and of itself,” said Hoffman. “And then it’s just unexpected and there’s gonna be people that are gonna be needing it.
“We have it in our warehouse and so we want to definitely be working with our neighbors here too.”
Hoffman explained the water distribution will happen at their new facility at 2031 Warehouse Rd. in Normal.
