BLOOMINGTON – A man from Normal has been jailed on attempted murder charges after he allegedly choked a female acquaintance.
Bond for Asa Stover, 20, has been set at $750,000. Stover did not make his court appearance in McLean County Court as he was reportedly combative with officers.
Prosecutors say Stover tried to strangle the woman at his home on Tuesday. She was treated at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
