BLOOMINGTON – Illinois Wesleyan’s postseason hopes were dealt a seemingly blow in an 82-80 overtime loss to North Central in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin game at Shirk Center.

The Titans fall to 16-8, 8-7 in the CCIW, meaning the best the Titans could do is force a tie for fourth place in the league with a win vs. league leader Augustana on Tuesday.
Andy Stempel led the Titans with 23 points. Colin Bonnett added 22 in the loss.
Alex Sorensen drilled six three-point baskets on his way to a game-high 27 points for the Cardinals, who kept their postseason hopes alive with a win. He hit the three-pointer which put NCC on top for good, 78-76, with 1:10 to go in the extra period,
Bonnett forced the OT with a three-point play with seven seconds left in regulation.
IWU women
The Titan women fall out of a tie for first in the CCIW with an 89-86 loss to North Central.
Maddie Merritt scored 22 points in the loss, while Rebekah Ehresman added 16 points and a team-high 14 rebounds.
IWU (17-7, 12-3) will close out the regular season Tuesday at Wheaton. The winner will claim the top seed and home court in the CCIW Tournament next weekend.
