BLOOMINGTON – A lawsuit filed by a man who says he was attacked by geese while working at the Mitsubishi Motors North America plant in Normal has been dismissed.

Judge Rebecca Simmons-Foley made the decision during a hearing on the lawsuit Wednesday.

Todd Cole filed the lawsuit after he says he was attacked by geese while working as a contractor on the plant’s property in May 2010.

Cole was seeking over $50,000 for medical bills and continued treatment on an injury to his shoulder.

A message seeking comment has been left with Cole’s attorney. Mitsubishi spokesperson Dan Irvin declined to comment.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
