KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Former Illinois State men’s basketball player Justin McCloud has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court for the second straight year, the NABC announced Tuesday.
McCloud finished his Redbird basketball career with a 3.91 cumulative grade point average in business teacher education. Along with earning NABC Honor Court accolades in 2015 and 2016, McCloud was also a 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Second Team selection and a four-time AFNI Honor Roll member.
A Bottineau, North Dakota, native, McCloud averaged 4.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game while playing in all 32 contests, with two starts, as a senior during the 2015-16 season. McCloud is now completing his degree at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, where he is also serving as an undergraduate assistant coach for the UMary men’s basketball program.
