Ronald Stachurski

Ronald T. Stachurski, 71, of Bloomington, passed away at 2:19 p.m. on June 3 at Advocate Bromenn Medical Center in Normal.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private internment will take place at Goose Creek Cemetery in Deland at a later date. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ron was born on Sep. 16, 1944 in South Bend, Ind., a son to the late Thomas and Gertrude Nowakowski Stachurski. He married Mary G. Manning in Champaign in January of 1971. She preceded him in death in 2006.

Surviving are his three children, Shaun (Amy Perkins) Stachurski, Cullom, Thom (fiancé, Wendi Malinowski) Stachurski, Bloomington, Beth (Jesse) Carey, Cooksville; eight grandchildren, Kevin Frank, James Taylor, Felicity Stachurski, Ethan Stachurski, Hailey Stachurski, Genevieve Carey, Eli Carey; and a brother, Albert Stachurski, Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Danny.

Ron was a past member of the Bloomington Moose Lodge #745 in Bloomington. He enjoyed fishing and playing video games. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.

Cremation has been accorded and a private internment will take place at Goose Creek Cemetery in Deland at a later date. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
