BPD arrest suspect in armed Dollar General robbery

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a local Dollar General Wednesday night.

Miko Bowers, 28 of Bloomington, was arrested Thursday on a McLean County warrant for aggravated robbery and robbery.

Police had been called to the Dollar General on East Oakland Avenue just after 9:50 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a male armed with a handgun had taken an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported from the incident.

Police said Bowers has been taken to the McLean County Jail and the investigation is ongoing – although no other suspects are being sought at this time. Bowers faces a $250,000 bond.
