SPRINGFIELD – The bill that came together late last week to fund parts of higher education is now law.
Gov. Bruce Rauner signed the $600 million bill Monday that will partially fund universities, junior colleges and MAP grants. Rauner says in an email statement that the law is a “first step towards compromise.”
Comptroller Leslie Munger said late last week she would have her office prioritize getting those bills paid.
