Connect Transit offers free rides on Earth Day

NORMAL – Connect Transit will be celebrating Earth Day by offering a Free Ride Day to everyone in Bloomington-Normal.

On Friday, all Connect Transit regular fixed route buses and mobility buses will be free for the duration of normal service hours.

Connect Transit reports public transportation use in the United States saves 4.2 billion gallons of gasoline annually while those who use public transportation saved 865 million hours in travel time and 450 million gallons of fuel.
