Ethics group has questions about Schock home sale

PEORIA – A watchdog group is raising ethics questions about the sale of U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock's home to a campaign supporter. 

The Peoria Republican sold the home in 2012 to a Caterpillar executive for $925,000, or about $225 per square foot, a price that was 50 to $75-per-square-foot higher than comparable homes in the Dunlap area. 

The group called Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington is asking the Office of Congressional Ethics to review the sale which Schock has said violated neither federal law, nor U.S. House rules.
