LINCOLN – The National Weather Service is predicting six-to-nine inches of snow in the Bloomington-Normal area Saturday and Sunday.
A winter storm warning is in effect for McLean County and most of central Illinois from 9 p.m. Saturday until 9 p.m. Sunday. The National Weather Service predicts the heaviest snow fall will occur between midnight and noon on Sunday. Rain will hit the area in the afternoon and then shift to a rain/snow mixture until changing over to just snow around midnight.
Blustery winds could also be an issue. Wind chill values Sunday night could range from 5 degrees to -5 degrees. Snow drift could also case problems with visibility.
