BLOOMINGTON – WJBC Brotherhood Tree volunteers will be hitting the stores in the coming days to buy gifts for the thousands of families in McLean County who need help this Christmas.
Spokesman Bob Bradley tells WJBC's Red Pitcher, the Brotherhood Tree is running low on money to help fill the gaps in gifts this year.
"Those donations are down a bit," Bradley said. "We are hoping this week is the week when people will reach into their wallets and hopefully donate some money so those special shopper elves can buy gifts in those areas that are really needed.
The Brotherhood Tree's biggest needs for gifts are for adults, boys and girls nine to 12 and 13 to 16. Gifts and cash donations will be accepted until Wednesday.
There's a PayPal link and a list of drop off locations at WJBC.com.
