Jonathan Hodel
Jonathan "Jon" Glen Hodel, 55, of Bloomington, passed away at 12:25 p.m. on Dec. 8 at his residence as result of cardiac arrest.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Apostolic Christian Church of Bloomington-Normal, 4408 East Raab Rd., Normal with the church ministers officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home, 1104 N. Main St., Bloomington and from 1:30-2 p.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the service.
Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery, 1105 S. Morris Ave., Bloomington.
Jon was born on Jan. 26, 1959 in Lafayette, Ind., a son of Glen W. And Susan J. Neukomm Hodel.
He is survived by his parents, Glen and Susan Hodel of Heyworth; two brothers, David W. (Cynthia) Hodel of Heyworth and Daniel L. (Christine) Hodel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two nephews, Jon D. (Jennifer) Hodel and James R. (Renee) Hodel both of Heyworth; two nieces, Katherine M. and Nichole E. Hodel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two great nephews, Matthew J. and Benjamin Harry Hodel both of Heyworth; two great nieces, Harley A. and Rachael M. Hodel both of Heyworth.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, John G. and Cora M. Beer Hodel, Harry W. and Mattie M. Beer Bauer, Benjamin and Esther I. Frintz Neukomm; uncles, Marvin J. Hari, William "Bill" Bauer, Leslie G. Bauer; and cousin Jana J. Seggebruch.
Jon worked in many restaurants in Racine, Wis. and Bloomington, and also at Wesleyan University Cafeteria. Most recently he did landscape work when his health tolerated. He attended schools in Racine. His favorite hobbies were fishing, boating, and backpacking to Florida and California.
He loved the outdoors and frequently checked out DVD’s at the Bloomington library on nature.

Tori Hernandez
Tori Everheart Hernandez, 18, Fairbury, died at 10:55 p.m. Dec. 8 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery, Gridley.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. A rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials be given to Tori Hernandez memorial fund.
Tori was born Aug. 19, 1996 in Murphysboro, Ill.
Surviving is her father, Andres Hernandez, Fairbury, two brothers, Viktor and Dallas Hernandez both of Fairbury, paternal grandfather, Andres Hernandez, Chenoa.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother.
Tori was a 2014 graduate of Prairie Central High School, Fairbury. She recently enlisted in the United States Army to become a military police. She was member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Fairbury.
