McLEAN – The American Legion Hall in McLean was burglarized recently and four ceremonial rifles were taken.

McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage said even though the M1 Garand’s are ceremonial rifles they can be functional weapons.

“At this time there are no suspects, and no concrete timeline for when it occurred,” Sandage said. “Those are all things we are working on today.”

The American Legion reported the burglary to the sheriff’s office on Wednesday. Two doors and a gun locker were damaged in the break-in.

Sandage said police don’t have any suspects.

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
