BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Sheriff’s Deputies made a $5,000 donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois this past week.
“The McLean County Deputies, the FOP Lodge 176, has been a sponsor for us ever since we came into the community in 1996,” CEO Corey Burrows said.
Burrows explained it costs approximately $1,200 to support one match over the course of a year.
“$5,000 goes a long way to helping make sure we have the adequate programming we need for the kids,” he said.
Nearly 800 children in Bloomington, Champaign, Decatur and surrounding areas are involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
