KANSAS CITY- Mike Liedtke, the offensive lineman that helped the ISU Redbirds to the national championship game last season, has found a new home at the next level of football, as he was signed to the practice squad of the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday.
Liedtke joins another former Redbird on the Chiefs, as tight end James O’Shaughnessy was drafted by the team in April.
Liedtke started in 43 games in his four year career with the Redbirds, including not missing a start from 2012-2014. Liedtke was picked up in the offseason by the Miami Dolphins, before being let go in the final cut of the preseason.
