NORMAL – Two men from Normal have been arrested for trying to send nearly 500 grams of cannabis through the mail.

Jake Capko, 20, and Nathan Bell, 23, were arrested Thursday afternoon after the United States Postal Inspection Service and the McLean County State’s Attorney’s office executed a search warrant on a package and found nearly $4,000 worth of marijuana.

Both men are being held in McLean County Jail on $10,000 bond.

A previous version of this story included an amount of cannabis the Normal Police Department erroneously reported on Friday. The updated article reflects the corrected number Normal Police reported Monday.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
