BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington City Council will hold a retreat Saturday at the Den at Fox Creek golf course.

City Manager David Hales said the first part of the day-long will be about self-evaluation for the council.

“The morning session, they’ll be in closed session to continue that discussion of self-evaluation,” Hales said. “How they can self improve not only each and every one (council member) but as a group.”

The rest of the day, which will be in open session, will focus on the council’s creation of goals and priorities. A public comment period is scheduled for 8 a.m. prior to the closed session.

No action will be taken.

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
