BLOOMINGTON – The man accused of stabbing two people and beating another in downtown Bloomington Wednesday afternoon has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
McLean County State’s Attorney Jason Chambers said Jason Hopkins, 35, of Bloomington is also being charged with seven counts of aggravated battery.
Hopkins made his initial court appearance Thursday. His bond has been set at $1 million. He is current being held at the McLean County Jail.
None of the victims in Wednesday’s attack received life threatening injuries.
Hopkins will next appear in court Aug. 28 at 10 a.m.
