McLean County man, 98, hospitalized in lawnmower rollover

HUDSON – Police say an elderly McLean County man is recovering after his riding lawnmower rolled over while he was cutting his grass.

McLean County Sheriff’s police say Gustaf Ziebarth, 98, was mowing along a culvert on Linden Street at Ziebarth Road in rural Hudson at about 9:30 a.m. Monday when the mower turned on to its side.

Police say Ziebarth suffered broken ribs and some cuts. He is in fair condition at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
