NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) — Heartland Community College students will now have a pathway to get a bachelor’s degree of Business Administration thanks to a new partnership with Illinois State University.

The two schools will come together Thursday morning to formally sign the agreement. The signing will take placed at Heartland’s Gregg Chadwick Community Board Room in the Community Commons Building.

This agreement will help make a “clear academic pathway” for Heartland students to transfer to ISU’s college of business to complete their online business degree, both schools said in a news release.

The schools expect the first class to transfer from Heartland to ISU in Fall 2026. There are currently 759 courses that are transferable between the two institutions.
