BLOOMINGTON – Another person has died from COVID-19 in McLean County as health officials report 645 new virus cases over the past 24 hours.
The county’s latest death includes a female in her 70s not associated with a long-term care facility.
At last count, 55 county residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19, while 92% of ICU beds and 97% of total beds are in use.
Local hospitals say 61 people from outside the county remain hospitalized for COVID-19 in the twin cities.
There have been 320 COVID-related deaths reported in the county.
The county’s cumulative positivity rate inched up to 5.1% from 5.0%, while the rolling 7-day positivity rate climbed to 20.9% from 19.0%.
On the vaccine front, approximately 251,330 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the county, and 58.62% of the population are fully vaccinated.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reports 61.10% of Illinois residents are fully vaccinated.
