NORMAL – Now that Illinois State University has its next president, the transition process is underway.
That’s according to current ISU President Dr. Larry Dietz, who said he got to meet Dr. Terri Goss Kinzy when she was introduced to the campus community last week.

“We spent some time together then she and her husband came out to the university residence and Marlene and I gave them a tour of the house then went to diner Friday night,” Dietz told WJBC’s Scott Miller. “It was a lovely diner, they are wonderful people, and she is a talented individual.”
Dietz says that he and Kinzy plan to meet each week leading up to July 1.
“I think that is a great way to begin and identify some issues and some are more urgent than others,” said Dietz. “She comes from a fine institution and she has experience at other fine institutions. So working at really good public universities is not a new thing for her.”
Kinzy is currently the vice president for research and innovation at Western Michigan University.
