Serious crash between bicyclist and pickup truck in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police are investigating a serious crash that happened Thursday afternoon on the city’s east side.

Police say the crash was a bicyclist versus a pickup truck. It happened around 12:56 p.m. on East Washington Street between Vale and Towanda Avenue.

Authorities say the adult bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene to St. Joseph Medical Center.

BPD says the cause for the crash is still under investigation. The roadway was blocked off for almost two hours.
