6 additional COVID-related deaths reported in McLean County

BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department Friday announced six more coronavirus-related deaths, brining the number of lives lost to 152.

Two of the people lived in long-term care facilities. According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, there have been 106 deaths in the county associated with long-term care facilities.

Local health officials reported 122 new cases. There are 21 McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID and 503 are isolating at home.  McLean County hospitals are reporting 73% of ICU beds in use, 88% of total beds in use, and 18 people hospitalized for COVID-19.

There have been 366 new cases of COVID reported in the last week, according to MCHD. An age breakdown of the cases:

  • Under 1: 1
  • 1-17: 44
  • 18-19: 63
  • 20s: 94
  • 30s: 42
  • 40s: 35
  • 50s: 33
  • 60s: 27
  • 70s: 15
  • 80s: 9
  • 90s: 3
