MCHD provided an update on Region 2 and where we stand to remove Tier 3 mitigations. A region must experience less than 12 percent positivity rate for three consecutive days and greater than 20 percent available intensive care unit (ICU) and hospital bed availability and declining 7-day average COVID hospitalizations in 7 out of the last 10 days.
- Percent positivity for three consecutive days – 5 consecutive days under 12% (7-day rolling average) – We meet this metric.
- Greater than 20 percent available ICU and hospital bed availability for 3 consecutive days– 19.7% ICU beds and 24.6% med/surg beds – We do not meet this metric, but we are close.
- Declining 7-day average COVID hospitalizations in 7 of the last 10 days – 5 days of COVID hospitalized patient decreases. – We do not meet this metric.
