BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man charged in the death of a homeless man is scheduled to stand trial in September.
The trial date was set Friday in McLean County court for Anthony Davis-Dickson, 19, on murder charges in the July 2014 death of Ronald Smith. Davis-Dickson, Willie Chambers, 19, and Tory Washington, 20, are accused of beating Smith on June 2, 2014 in O’Neil Park. He died at a local hospital one month later.
Chambers and Washington also face murder charges in the case. A trial date hasn’t been set.
