BLOOMINGTON – Local health officials Monday announced 15 new cases of coronavirus as 60 additional people have been released from isolation.
There are 3,074 people who have recovered from the virus as the county’s rolling positivity rate held steady at 2.6%.
MCHD Administrator Jessica McKnight said there are 193 active cases, seven are currently hospitalized, one in intensive care, and the rest are in home isolation. There have been 23 COVID-related deaths.
“As we look forward to enjoying fall and winter holiday celebrations it is important to remember that large gatherings of families and friends, crowded parties, and travel may put people at increased risk for COVID-19,” said McKnight. “It will be necessary, especially this season, to take responsibility to protect ourselves, our families, friends, and communities from COVID-19 through extra precautions.”
