BLOOMINGTON – McLean County’s rolling positivity rate continues to rise as local health officials Monday reported 146 new cases of COVID-19.
There are 844 active cases, according to the McLean County Health Department. Four people are currently hospitalized, one in the ICU, and 840 are isolating at home. There are 907 people who have recovered from the virus and there have been 16-COVID related deaths.
The county’s rolling seven-day positivity rate inched up to 10.3%.
“The McLean County Health Department is working with a new contact tracing software from the IDPH,” said MCHD Administrator Jessica McKnight. “We have limited data to report today, but we will continue working with IDPH to be able to provide more detailed updates in the future.”
Meanwhile, 39 additional students at Illinois State University tested positive for COVID. Since Aug. 17, 972 ISU students have tested positive, as the university’s rolling positivity rate is 24%.
