BLOOMINGTON – More than 26 emergency response agencies will participate in a full-scale emergency response situation at Central Illinois Regional Airport on Saturday.
Emergency response agencies will participate in a simulated aircraft incident on the airfield to test the overall response from the responding agencies, hospitals, airport personnel, and others.
The airport is required by the Federal Aviation Administration to conduct a full-scale emergency drill implementing its airport emergency plan every three years to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
The drill is expected to last from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
