Man shot in buttocks late Sunday evening

BLOOMINGTON – A man was shot late Sunday evening in the east side of Bloomington.

BPD says the shooting happened around 10 p.m. in the 2300 block of Rainbow Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located a 27-year-old man that had been shot. The man had injuries consistent with a gunshot wound on his buttocks. The victim was transported to Saint Joseph’s Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. There were no other injuries reported from the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
