GOODFIELD – Investigators believe a fire that killed five people in a Goodfield trailer home earlier this month was intentionally set according to the Woodford County coroner.
A release from Coroner Tim Ruestman also says a juvenile is being questioned but no other details have been provided.
Ruestman pronounced the five occupants of the trailer dead at the scene of the April 6 fire on Cypress Court of the Timberline Estates mobile home park. The victims include Kathryn Murray, 69; Jason Wall, 34; Rose Alwood, 2; Damian Wall, 2; and Ariel Wall, 1, dead at the scene. The coroner said the five died from carbon monoxide intoxication.
The coroner said his office as well as county and state police, the state fire marshal’s office, the Eureka-Goodfield Fire Department and the Woodford County state’s attorney’s office are part of the investigation.
