BLOOMINGTON – The defense in the Kirk Zimmerman murder trial is trying to show Bloomington Police focused too much on Zimmerman, and not on other possible suspects in the shooting death of Zimmerman’s former wife.
Defense attorney John Rogers questioned Detective Tim Power about Eldon Whitlow, who was one of Pam Zimmerman’s clients, and Scott Baldwin, who was her fiance.
Rogers asked, “Everything that you saw on his credit report you tried to go get and gather, with respect for Mr. Zimmerman correct?”
“Fair enough,” Power responded.
Rogers asked, “You did not go after Mr. Whitlow’s credit card information, bank statements, or pursue any of that additional information did you?”
“We did not,” Power responded.
“With respect to Mr. Baldwin, did you supenoa any of Mr. Baldwin’s financial documentation at all?”
“I don’t believe so,” Power responded.

Police found out Whitlow owns a nine mm firearm, the exact make of the gun used to kill Pam. However, investigators say they tested the weapon and determined the gun wasn’t used.
The trial continues Thursday.
