Brandt donates to men injured in fatal bus-semi crash

NORMAL – Ag equipment manufacturer Brandt has donated $5,000 to help two men still hospitalized after a fatal crash between a school bus and semi earlier this month.

Brandt recently began operations at a facility near Hudson. The donation to the Unit 5 Educational Foundation will be split between Normal West girls basketball coach Steve Price and bus driver Mark Kuhn. Volunteer Charlie Crabtree and the truck driver, Ryan Hute of Iowa, died in the December 5 crash on I-74 west of Downs.

Price said in a statement through the district that each day was better and that he is grateful and blessed by the community’s support.
