CHICAGO – An accomplice to former McLean County Board Chairman Matt Sorensen in a fraud case against State Farm is headed to prison.
A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced Navdeep Arora of Chicago to two years in federal prison for his role in a scheme to defraud State Farm of $600,000.
Arora, 53, had pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud. Prosecutors say the two men developed a phony billing scheme for consulting work for the insurer that was never done.
Sorensen was sentenced last year to one year in prison after he had pleaded guilty to wire fraud.
