BLOOMINGTON – Habitat for Humanity of McLean County has named its new executive director.
The organization says Jim Walters was chosen after a regional search.
Walters has held a variety of executive non-profit positions in Central Illinois for the past 20 years. He is a graduate of Illinois State University. He and his wife Brandy are the parents of five children.
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization working to eliminate poverty housing. The organization is a social service agency, homebuilder and mortgage lender that uses volunteer help. Families who move into Habitat homes repay a no-interest mortgage and provide sweat equity during construction.
